Anyone
interested in literary arts for young people may join
the Edmonton Children's Literature Roundtable. Membership
costs $25.00 for the year (6 sessions) or you can
pay $8.00 per session. Costs include refreshments
at each session. Special sessions, such as visits
by international authors, are ticketed events, but
members enjoy a discounted ticket price. Members have
the opportunity to vote for the Canada Information
Book Award, and receive a newsletter about upcoming
events, as well as news about the literary arts for
young people. In addition to featured presentations
by renowned local, national, and international authors
and illustrators, each season of Edmonton CLRT's programming
includes a Celebration of Albertan Authors and
illustrators. This evening features 10 Albertan literary
artists discussing and reading from their new work.
